I am a Design Engineer at a small robotics company although I am also involved in the sales and marketing side of the company

What attracted you to doing this?
I'd always enjoyed maths and science but I didn't want to become a "scientist", I wanted to make things - make a difference.

What are you most proud of in what you do?
Seeing how our robots can really help people.

How did you get to where you are today?
I took a gap year before university working at an engineering company. It really helped me see what I was aiming for and gave me focus through my university course. It was also very helpful when I was looking for a job afterwards.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of following your path?
If you're interested in how things work or in making things then you should definitely look into engineering as a career. Engineering is so varied - it's never boring.
