no typical day - variety in who i talk to, where emphasis is.

Tell us more about your environment in terms of work-life balance
relatively flexible working hours - emphasis is on the output not hours worked. working with different agencies, organisations and individuals to develop projects which work for all, can be funded and will last.

What are you most proud of in what you do?
opportunity to solve problems which make a difference in everyday life.

Do your experiences of the current role you are in match your expectations?
Often, but frustrations with availablity of funding.

How did you get to where you are today?
'O' & 'A' levels mainly science & maths bias. went to Leeds University and gained degree in Civil Engineering. Joined Consultants and did a wide range of graduate work. travelled with company to Hong Kong, Dubai, Iran and latterly Cyprus developing skills. gained Chartered Membership along the way. Returned to UK and decided to work in a a similar field but with a different emphasis.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of following your path?
Aim to be the best in whatever you do. Choose work/jobs because you'll enjoy them, not because they pay well.

Football

What did you dream of doing when you were growing up?
being a pilot.
